Sometimes a name says it all.

Take Grim Stadium, for example. For years it was a pretty grim place. Texas High School won a lot of football games there this decade, true. But it wasn’t much to look at. It was a pretty tough place to play for visiting squads. It wasn’t particularly inviting for the locals.

At best you could say it got the job done. At worst you could say it didn’t. Besides its bleak appearance, facilities were lacking for both players and fans.
