While most of us have already moved on to football and the upcoming high school and college seasons opening this week, maybe we should take some time to remember a season past.

It shouldn’t be difficult since the Texarkana Gunslingers’ inaugural season in the Continental Baseball League ended only last weekend. And while it was a disappointing conclusion—two straight losses to Bay Area in the championship series—it hardly overrode the success of the season as a whole.
