This weekend begins the relief most duck hunters anticipate. Teal season opens Saturday in Texas and Arkansas and runs to Sept. 28.

The difference is in the details for each state. While both states allow for a four-teal limit, hunting times vary. In Texas, you can hunt from 30 minutes prior to sunrise until sunset. Arkansas only allows teal hunting from sunrise to sunset.

Also be careful on the Red River. Anything inside the weed line on the south or west side of the river is Arkansas, and you need to have the right licenses.
