Nintendo Wii bowling is about as real as you can get without actually bowling—not!

The latest trend in athletic simulations with game consoles, where you can “actively” compete from the comfort of your own living room, doesn’t compare to the real deal. Now some may disagree with me, including one of my colleagues, Matthew Koewler, who is much more of a video game fanatic than myself.

So I asked Mr. Koewler to state his case for Wii bowling, and I’m presenting my own for hitting the real lanes. You can decide.
