Sometimes the angels among us have no wings. They come with checkbooks instead.

That’s what happened the other day when Tracy Orr of Dallas went to say goodbye to her foreclosed house at an auction.

Orr cried as Marilyn Mock won the property with a bid of nearly $30,000. Then Mock told Orr she could move back to her house and make payments to Mock.

Mock said she was moved by Orr’s tears. But her motivation goes to something more, something we almost never envision in situations like this. Mock said simply: People need to help people.
