It’s hard to imagine Jerry Jones being more embarrassed.

Jones stood on stage last week with some of the best Dallas Cowboys to ever suit up at Texas Stadium, apologizing for “Our Heroes” losing the final game to be played in Irving.

Many figured that loss had eliminated the Cowboys from the playoffs, but results of other NFL games the following day gave Dallas new life. The Cowboys only needed to win their regular-season finale at Philadelphia to earn the NFC’s sixth seed.
