This week in 1985, President Reagan condemned arson at abortion clinics, Deputy Chief of Staff Michael Deaver resigned, and a singer named Harold Lloyd Jenkins had his 61st hit song.

Some songs have taken a long and strange road to becoming a hit, and Conway Twitty’s 1985 No. 1, “Ain’t She Somethin’ Else,” was one of those tunes!

In 1974, Eddy Raven recorded a song that several years later would become a No. 1 hit for Conway Twitty, who was born Harold Lloyd Jenkins.
