It’s not like we haven’t heard it before.

During the last 20 or so years, urban planners and other municipal rejuvenators have stopped by to check out our two cities and shower us with their insights.

They all say much the same thing: That Texarkana is a town with potential but no planned path. That downtown is the heart of the city and it must be revived. That the greater cityscape has some nice features but some of the most important elements are rundown and leave the wrong impression.
