MAMIE FORTE

Mamie “Granny” Forte, 91, of Ashdown, Ark., died Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2008, at her home.

Mrs. Forte was born Feb. 1, 1917, in Ashdown. She was a homemaker, a child care worker and a Jehovah’s Witness. She was preceded in death by her husband, Corneluis Forte; two sons, Jack Scott and Monroe Walton; and one daughter, Mattie Savage.
