ROBERT HULEN

CLARKSVILLE, Texas—Robert Allen “Slim” Hulen, 87, of Clarksville died Saturday, March 1, 2008, in a local nursing home.

Mr. Hulen was born March 19, 1920, in Aikin Grove community. He was a past sheriff of Red River County, a retired inspector with the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association, a commissioned Texas Ranger, a founding member of Red River Wagonmasters, McKenzie Memorial United Methodist Church and a military policeman in World War II. He was preceded in death by two wives, Mary LaNell Whiteman Hulen and Ella Mae Hulen.
