Mary L. Young, 73, of Texarkana, Texas, died Saturday, March 1, 2008, at her home.

Mrs. Young was born May 18, 1934, in Newport, Ark. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Cherie Lynn Pearrow.

Survivors include her husband, David Young of Texarkana; one daughter, Mary Scarlett Powell of Kentucky; and four grandchildren, Betsy Anna Powell and Richard Harrison Powell of Kentucky and Misti Lynn Pearrow and Shane Pearrow of Arkansas.

Private services will be at a later date under direction of Chapelwood Funeral Home.
