Leon George, 81, of Newton, Ga., died Saturday, March 1, 2008, in Blakely, Ga.

The Rev. George was born July 17, 1926, in Gurdy, Okla. He was a retired Pentecostal minister. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Fay George.

Survivors include two daughters, Evelyn Beasley of Newton and Renée Reynolds of Oklahoma City; two sons, Travis George of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Delbert George of Newton; two sisters, Estelle Hartman and Mary Hartman of Texarkana; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
