LUFKIN, Texas—Edith Lucille “Lou” Stewart Post, 79, of Lufkin, formerly of Texarkana, died Thursday, March 6, 2008, in a local hospital.

Mrs. Post was born Sept. 15, 1928, in Garner, Ark. She was a retired teacher with Corpus Christi Catholic School, Houston, a homemaker, a Girl Scout leader, a Boy Scout den mother and a member of Hardworkers Club, Lufkin, and Highland Park Methodist Church, Dallas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald G. Post, in 1992.
