Florence Horton, 91, of Texarkana, Texas, died Thursday, March 13, 2008, in a local hospital.

Mrs. Horton was born Dec. 18, 1916, in Kansas City, Mo. She was a secretary for Sen. Jim Thornton and a Baptist. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Hamilton Bailey and Jim Horton; and two sons, Paul Bailey and Charles Bailey.

Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law, Sally and Earnest McCann, Mary Lumkes and Carole and Gerald Plough; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
