HOPE, Ark.—John Howard Thompson, 70, of Hope died Thursday, March 13, 2008, in a Texarkana hospital.

Mr. Thompson was born July 1, 1937, in Valeda, Kan. He was retired from Arkansas Highway Department and a member of Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife, Helen L. Carczynsky Thompson of Hope; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Jerry and Brenda Thompson of Luling, La., and Danny Thompson of Hope; two daughters and sons-in-law, Becky and Jeff Kubin of Caldwell, Texas, and Karen and Rodney Bobo of Hope; three grandchild...
