Albert Earl Gregory, 80, of Texarkana, Ark., died Sunday, March 16, 2008, in a local hospital.

Mr. Gregory was born March 24, 1927, in Texarkana. He was the retired owner of Gregory Floor Covering Service and a Baptist. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Loretha L. Gregory; one grandchild, Melissa L. Vines; and one great-grandchildren, Hailey Gregory.

Survivors include his wife, LaVern Gregory of Texarkana; one daughter, Elaine Jones of Texarkana; two sons, Johnny Gregory of Nash, Texas, and Paul Gregory of Simms, Texas; four stepsons, Marty Jones of Houston, Donald Jones, Jimmy Jones and Keith Jones of Texarkana; one sister, Vernice Nelson of Texarkana; 17 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Texarkana Funeral Home, Ark., with the Rev. Ken Davis officiating. Burial will be in East Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
