NASHVILLE, Ark.—Mary Jo Parks, 86, of Nashville died Saturday, March 16, 2008, in a local hospital.

Mrs. Parks was born April 22, 1921, in Sheridan, Ark. She was a homemaker and member of Immanuel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer “Parkie” Parks.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Woody L. and Jeanette Parks of Bakersfield, Calif., and Tommy and Delores Parks of Bossier City, La.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Patty Jo and Richard Beckwith of Greene, N.Y., and Cindy and Larry Coplin of Nashville; one brother and sister-in-law, Hosa Lee and Barbara Shepherd of Russellville, Ark.; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. today at Latimer Funeral Home with the Rev. Glen Green officiating. Burial will be in Restland Memorial Park under direction of Latimer Funeral Home.
