NEW BOSTON, Texas—James H. Baggett, 77, of Maud, Texas, died Wednesday, March 19, 2008, at his home.

Mr. Baggett was born Feb. 23, 1931, in Clarksville, Texas. He was a self-employed carpet layer and an Army and Marine Corps veteran.

Survivors include four sons, Dale Baggett and Jerry Baggett of Maud, Tommy Baggett of New Boston and Danny Baggett of Balch Springs, Texas; one daughter, Jacqueline Phillips of Dallas; one sister, Peggy Foster of Maud; one brother, Don Baggett of Omaha, Neb.; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one gre...
