PRESCOTT, Ark.—James B. McGough, 85, of Laneburg, Ark., died Monday, March 24, 2008, in Texarkana, Texas.
Mr. McGough was born May 15, 1922, in Laneburg. He was a retired Air Force master sergeant, a poultry/cattle/timber producer, manager of Needmore Properties LLC, a board member of Arkansas Soil Conservation District, a member of Air Force Sergeants Association and a World War II Army veteran. Survivors include his wife, Margaret E. “Peggy” McGough of Laneburg; two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert James “Bobby” and Carolyn McGough of Laneburg and Richard Lee “Rick” and Debora McGough of Prescott; four grandchildren and one spouse, Melinda A. McGough of Dallas, James Robert McGough of Laneburg, Marcus James McGough of Fulton, Ark., and Angela M. and John David Poindexter of Mesquite, Texas; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 2 p.m. Thurs-day at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home with the Revs. Jerry G. Westmore-land and David Hampton officiating. Burial will be in Laneburg Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Laneburg Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund, c/o Brenda Steed, 1942 Highway 299, Prescott, AR 71857.
