Mamie Jean Johnson, 53, of Texarkana, Ark., died Wednesday, March 12, 2008, in a local hospital.

Ms. Johnson was born Aug. 1, 1954, in Lubbock, Texas. She was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Rene Johnson.

Survivors include one son, Sisro Johnson of Cuero, Texas; one daughter, Colydu Johnson of Texarkana; four brothers, Charles Johnson and Anthony Johnson of McKinney, Texas, Zeke Johnson of Princeton, Texas, and Diamond Johnson of Denton, Texas; four sisters, Sara Crammer, Helen Johnson and Becky Johnson of McKinney and Thelma Hall of Fort Worth, Texas; and nine grandchildren.

Memorial services will be 10 a.m. today at Haynes Mortuary with Ricky Bowman officiating.
