Porter, 96, of Texarkana died Thursday, March 20, 2008, in Texarkana.

Mrs. Porter was born Sept. 9, 1911, in Mandeville, Ark. She was a homemaker and a member of Mount Orange Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Charlene Dunbar Porter and Gussye Dunbar Dowdell of Texarkana; nine grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Richardson Hill Funeral Home with the Rev. Patrick A. Hill officiating. Burial will be in Red Springs Cemetery.

Visitation will be 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
