HUGHES SPRINGS, Texas—James W. Hatten, 81, of Hughes Springs died Monday, March 31, 2008, at his home.

Mr. Hatten was born March 22, 1927. He was formerly employed with Lone Star Steel, a member of Liberty United Methodist Church and an Army veteran. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Jamie M. Todd.

Survivors include his wife, Ouida Hatten; seven children, Burnett Hollis of Houston, Ronald Hatten, Patsy Taylor, Phyllis Johnson, Rodrick Hatten and Shatrice Hatten of Hughes Springs and Roderick Hatten of Daingerfield, Texas; three brothers,...
