NAPLES, Texas—Gladys Louise Crudup, 95, of Simms, Texas, died Thursday, May 1, 2008, in a Texarkana hospital.

Mrs. Crudup was born Aug. 21, 1912, in Simms, Texas. She was a homemaker and a member of Simms Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Welford Crudup, in 1984.

Survivors include two nephews, James Rayford Slider of Simms and Rachel Wayne Slider of DeKalb, Texas; four nieces, Velma Slider Vinson of New Boston, Texas, Jane Ann Tidwell Gillis of San Angelo, Texas, Bama Slider Macon of Dallas and Selvia Maxwell Greenwood of Hooks, Texas; and a number of other relatives.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Sand Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Tracy Wilkes and Robby Bates officiating. Burial will be under direction of Harrison Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
