ASHDOWN, Ark.—Vedith Dean Fawcett, 85, of Ashdown died Friday, May 2, 2008, in Ashdown.

Mrs. Fawcett was born Sept. 14, 1922, in Rison, Ark. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Ashdown. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Phillip Fawcett Sr.

Survivors include one son, Charles Phillip Fawcett Jr.; three daughters, Suellen Fawcett of Ashdown, Ann Fawcett Kyle of Baton Rouge, La., and Cindy Fawcett Suggs of Houston; and two grandchildren, Scott Taylor of Texarkana and Stephani Kyle of Dallas.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Ashdown Cemetery with the Rev. Butch Riddle officiating. Burial will be under direction of Madden Funeral Services.

Visitation will be 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
