ATLANTA, Texas—A.L. Treadway Jr., 82, of Queen City, Texas, died Friday, May 2, 2008, in Queen City.

Mr. Treadway was born Feb. 8, 1926, in Ravanna, Ark. He was retired from Economy Lumber and member of Hebron Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Treadway; one son, Michael Treadway; and one granddaughter, Kimberly Treadway.

Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, Darlene Stone of Queen City, and Sandy and Howard Hemperley of Douglassville, Texas; seven grandchildren and one grandson-in-law, Angela and Doug Parker, Dalicia Stone Jackson, and Carroll Treadway of Queen City, Loyd Hemperley and Cindy Nichols of Texarkana, and Tina Tilley of Douglassville, Texas; 15 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Hanner Funeral Home with the Rev. Rusty Posey officiating. Burial will be in Smyrna Cemetery.

Visitation will be 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
