DE QUEEN, Ark.—Patty June Rivers, 74, of De Queen died Saturday, May 3, 2008, in a local hospital.

Ms. Rivers was born Feb. 9, 1934, in Dierks, Ark. She was a Sunday school secretary, member of the choir and Friendship Baptist Church.

Survivors include her sister-in-law, Jerri Lynn Rivers of De Queen; one nephew, Christopher Gerald Rivers of Edgewood, Texas; one niece, Cheryl Lynn Smyth of Forney, Texas; and five great-nephews.

Graveside services will be 3 p.m. today at Valley Cemetery, Gillham, Ark., with the Rev. George Frachiseur officiating. Burial will be under direction of Chandler Funeral Home.
