ADDINE STRINGER

Addine Colyer Morgan Stringer, 85, of Texarkana, Texas, died Friday, May 2, 2008, at her home.

Mrs. Stringer was born June 16, 1922, in Bloomburg, Texas. She was a homemaker and a member of Glenwood Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Clarence “Candy” Morgan and Hugh Stringer.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and June Morgan of Texarkana; two daughters and one son-in-law, Joy Bacon of Gilmer, Texas, and Pat and Charles McEvoy of Dallas; one stepdaughter, Hewette Stringer of Dallas; two brothers, Herman Colyer and Hank Colyer of Waco, Texas; six grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 2 p.m. today at Chapelwood Funeral Home with the Revs. Leon Turner and Shad McDonald officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens.

The family will be at 94 Valley Road, Texarkana, Texas.
