CLEO STEWARD

NEW BOSTON, Texas—Cleo Reeves Steward, 84, of Simms, Texas, died Friday, May 2, 2008, in a local hospital.

Mr. Steward was born Feb. 24, 1924, in DeKalb, Texas. He was retired from Gifford-Hill Concrete, a member of Old Union Baptist Church and a World War II veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Naomi; and one daughter-in-law, Barbara Steward.

Survivors include one son, Donald Steward of Maud, Texas; two daughters and sons-in-law, Janice and Gary Roach and Charlotte and Joe Sanchez of Simms; one brother, Cadar Steward; one sister, Geraldine Richardson; one sister-in-law, Clemmie Kruse; one special friend, Barbara Prince; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. today at Bates-Rolf Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Beard and David Brian Prince officiating. Burial will be in Old Union Cemetery.
