PRESCOTT, Ark.—Cleo Mann Tippitt, 99, of Fairfield Bay, Ark., formerly of Prescott, died Sunday, May 4, 2008, in a Clinton, Ark., hospital.

Mrs. Tippitt was born May 1, 1909, in Prescott. She was a nurse, a Rosie the Riveter and a member of Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hermon Curtis Tippitt Sr.; and one son, Herman C. Tippitt Jr.

Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, Jacquelyn Ann Tippitt and Hody Butler of Dallas and Carolyn Mann Tippitt Wahlquist of Greers Ferry, Ark.; one half-sister, Sue Laverne Baskin of McNeil, Ark.; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 12:30 p.m. today at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home with Elder William Wayne “Butch” Ellis officiating. Burial will be in DeAnn Cemetery.
