Rena Mae Plunk, 72, of Wake Village, Texas, died Monday, May 5, 2008, in a local hospital.

Mrs. Plunk was born Sept. 23, 1935, in Leesville, Texas. She was retired from St. Michael Hospital and a member of Senior Joy Choir and First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Plunk.

Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law, John Plunk of Wake Village and Carrol and Zelphia Plunk of Texarkana; one daughter and son-in-law, Susan and John Mayo of Redwater, Texas; three brothers, Eddie Shuler, Les Shuler and Cecil Shuler of San Antonio; one sister, Doris Mosley of San Antonio; three grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednes-day at Chapelwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Rice officiating. Burial will be in Redwater Cemetery.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.

The family will be at the home of Susan Mayo, 112 Hickory St., Redwater, Texas.
