Artis Ray “Head Quarters” Robinson Jr., 63, of Atlanta, Texas, died Wednesday, April 30, 2008, in Shreveport, La.

Mr. Robinson was born Sept. 30, 1944, in Nash, Texas. He was a finance and announcement committee member of Union Hill Baptist Church and a retired Army veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Ida M. Robinson of Texarkana; five sons, Troy Winslow and Melvin Winslow of Shreveport and Anthony Winslow, Johnny Howard and Damon Robinson of Texarkana; two brothers, Charlie Robinson of Charlotte, N.C., and Otis Robinson of Texarkana; two sisters, Nellie Davis of Atlanta and Lula Taylor of Compton, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Chapelwood Memorial Gardens with the Rev. John Lewis officiating. Burial will be under direction of Haynes Mortuary.

Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
