HOPE, Ark.—Buddy Boyd, 75, of Hope died Sunday, May 4, 2008, at his home.

Mr. Boyd was born Sept. 24, 1932, in McCaskill, Ark. He was a retired school bus mechanic with Hope Public Schools, a member of Arkansas School Bus Mechanics Association, and associated with the Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Survivors include his wife, Viola J. Clark Boyd of Hope; three sons, Roger Boyd of Houston, Mo., Dennis Boyd of Hope and Wayne Boyd of Harrison, Ark.; two daughters, Pamela Zimmer of Blevins, Ark., and Claudia Scheller of Redmond, Ore.; two brothers, Melvin Boyd of Mesa, Ariz., and Bill W. Boyd of Sunland, Calif.; five grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses with Ben Owens officiating under direction of Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
