Gwendolyn Kolar, 93, of Texarkana, Ark., died Monday, May 5, 2008, in a local hospital.

Mrs. Kolar was born Aug. 20, 1914, in Antiock, Ill. She was a homemaker and a Catholic.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Miles and Yong Kolar of Texarkana; one daughter, Rose Simone of Chicago; one brother, Leroy Girard of Kenosha, Wis.; eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Calvary Cemetery with the Revs. Charly McCarley and Paek Yim officiating. Burial will be under direction of East Funeral Home, Downtown.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
