NEW BOSTON, Texas—M. Helen Allen, 81, of Waco, Texas, died Monday, May 5, 2008, in a Waco nursing home.

Mrs. Allen was born July 28, 1926, in Bowie County, Texas. She was a homemaker, a worker with Athens Methodist Church and a member of Red Bayou United Methodist Church, New Boston. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur Allen; and one son, Keith Allen.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Rod and Cindy Allen of Ovilla, Texas; one daughter, Teresa Robertson of New Castle, N.H.; one sister, Mary Jo Pasley of New Boston; two sisters-in-law, Bea Pasley of New Boston and Leona Collett of Odessa, Texas; two grandsons, Benjamin Whisenhunt of Atlanta, Ga., and Jonathan Allen of Ovilla, Texas; one great-granddaughter; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 3 p.m. today at Bates-Rolf Funeral Home with the Rev. John Barfield officiating. Burial will be in Red Bayou Cemetery.
