Robert W. Taylor, 81, of Wake Village, Texas, died Sunday, May 4, 2008, at his home.

Mr. Taylor was born Aug. 7, 1926, in East St. Louis, Ill. He was retired from DARCOM, a Logistic Management Specialist with Red River Army Depot, a member of Light House Assembly of God Church and a World War II Army Air Corp veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Marion Taylor of Texarkana; two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Nina Taylor of Austin and John and Lisa Taylor of Texarkana; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and Ed Shirley of Jasper, Texas, and Debbie and Michael Fatherree of Texarkana; one sister, Kate Walters of Texarkana; and seven grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. today at East Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Hal Haltom officiating. Burial will be under direction of East Funeral Home, Moores Lane.
