CLARKSVILLE, Texas—Amy Lois Hensarling Nicholas, 86, of Longview, Texas, died Tuesday, May 6, 2008, in a Longview hospital.

Mrs. Nicholas was born Nov. 15, 1921, in Roaring Springs, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Morris Brantley Nicholas, in 2004; and one daughter, Theresa Ward.

Survivors include two children and spouses, Don and Janet Nicholas of Mineola, Texas, and Jan and Mike Payton of Dallas; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Friday at Avery Cemetery with David Ingram officiating. Burial will be under direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
