Bobby Ray Powers, 65, of Texarkana, Ark., died Tuesday, May 6, 2008, in a local nursing home.

Mr. Powers was born Nov. 17, 1942, in Hope, Ark. He was a retired tree surgeon and a Baptist. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Powers.

Survivors include one son, Pride Powers of Texarkana; three daughters, Stacy Powers, Leona Powers and Angela Powers of Arkansas; and a number of other relatives.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Friday at East Memorial Gardens with the Rev. William V. Garner officiating. Burial will be under direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas.
