George Steven “Jorg” Ray, 49, of Katy, Texas, died Sunday, May 4, 2008, at his home.

Mr. Ray was born June 4, 1958, in Niederhausen, Germany. He was an instrumentational designer with Mustang Engineering, Houston, and a veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Olga Ray of Katy; three daughters, Gabrielle Savannah Ray and Sierra Cheyenne Ray of Hot Springs, Ark., and Anastasia Ray of Katy; his mother, Helga Ray of Texarkana; two brothers, Robert Allen Ray of McKinney, Texas, and Thomas Patrick Ray of Dallas; one sister, Jennifer Joan Hensley of Texarkana; one nephew, Kyle David Hensley of Texarkana; one niece, Patricia Dylan Hensley of Texarkana; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at East Funeral Home, Downtown, with the Rev. Joe Strebeck officiating. Burial will be in East Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
