OLAN GOODMON

NEW BOSTON, Texas—Olan Goodmon, 86, of New Boston died Tuesday, May 6, 2008, in a local nursing home.

Mr. Goodmon was born Dec. 26, 1921, in Trinity County, Texas. He was a retired millwright with Lone Star Army Ammunition Plant, a Mason, a member of Harlan Dale Masonic Lodge, San Antonio, and a World War II Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Goodmon.

Survivors include one son, Ronnie Goodmon of Texarkana, Texas; two daughters, Karen Donaldson of Dallas and Wanda Goodmon of New Boston; one brother, Wayne Goodmon of Kingwood, Texas; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Bates-Rolf Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Beard officiating. Burial will be in Ringwood Cemetery.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
