SHREVEPORT, La.—Carl Beshea, 77, of Stonewall, La., died Wednesday, May 7, 2008, after a brief illness.

Mr. Beshea was born Aug. 3, 1930, in Springhill, La. He was a house painter. He was preceded in death by his wife, Loretta Talley Beshea.

Survivors include two sons, Ricky Beshea and Johnny Beshea; one daughter, Carolyn Ezernack; one sister, Lorene Branton; five brothers, Earl Beshea, Dearl Beshea, W.D. Beshea, Willie Beshea and Clarence Beshea; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Rose-Neath Southside Funeral Home with Charlene Casten officiating. Burial will be in Forest Park West Cemetery.

Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
