HOPE, Ark.—Doris V. Shewbirt, 76, of Bodcaw, Ark., died Tuesday, May 6, 2008, in Bodcaw.

Mrs. Shewbirt was born Sept. 9, 1931, in Sulphur Springs, Ark. She was a member of Bodcaw Baptist Church No. 2. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billie Joe Shewbirt; one daughter, Dianna Darlene Shewbirt; one granddaughter, Deanna Renee Honea; and three great-grandchildren, Preston, Brittany and Isiah.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Ronny Wayne and Debbie Shewbirt and Billy Eugene and Karen Shewbirt of Bodcaw; one daughter, Crystal Dawn Holt of Texarkana; two sisters, Alene Sullivan of McKinney, Texas, and Josie Gilbert of Princeton, Texas; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be 4 p.m. Saturday at Turrentine Jackson Morrow Funeral Home, McKinney. Burial will be in Ridgeview Memorial Park Cemetery under direction of Herndon-Pharr Funeral Home.
