JEFFERSON, Texas—James Arthur McDonald, 61, of Jefferson died Wednesday, May 7, 2008, at his home.

Mr. McDonald was born Oct. 27, 1946. He was a constable with Precinct 3 and a deacon of Judea Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Claudetta McDonald; two sons, Allen McDonald and Nicholaus Johnson; four daughters, Michelle Evans, Dee Dee McDonald, D’Angela Johnson and Sonya Johnson; one brother, Joe McDonald; and two sisters, Easter Williams and Clara Adams.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Texas/Louisiana Baptist Association with Claude Andrews officiating. Burial will be in Judea Cemetery under direction of Lewis & Walker Funeral Home.

Visitation will be noon to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
