Leti Mitchell, 80, of Texarkana, Texas, died Tuesday, May 6, 2008, in a local hospital.

Ms. Mitchell was born Jan. 2, 1928, in Bivins, Texas. She was a beauty shop owner, employed with Lone Star Army Ammunition Plant and a member of Mount Orange Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Burles Mitchell.

Survivors include two sisters, Ruthie Griffin of Texarkana and Dovie Mays of Compton, Calif.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Mount Orange Baptist Church with the Rev. Eddy Matthews officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery under direction of Haynes Mortuary.

Visitation will be 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
