Loyd Chiles, 81, of Texarkana, Texas, died Monday, May 5, 2008, in a local hospital.

Mr. Chiles was born Dec. 9, 1926, in Honey Grove, Texas. He was owner of Chiles Barbershop.

Survivors include two stepsons and stepdaughters-in-law, Joseph Jr. and Jeraldine H. Perkins of Windermere, Fla., and Lawrence and Bobbie Perkins of Houston; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Services will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Oak Street Baptist Church with the Rev. L.B. George officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens under direction of Richardson Hill Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
