ASHDOWN, Ark.—Mary Helen Beard, 67, of Ashdown died Sunday, May 4, 2008, at the home of her daughter.

Mrs. Beard was born June 11, 1940, in Lew-isville, Ark. She was a retired nurse’s aide and a Baptist.

Survivors in-clude her husband, Richard Beard; one daughter, Shirley C. Johnson; her parents, Ezekiel and Izetta Williams; four brothers, Sam Williams, L.B. Williams, L.C. Williams and Vincent Williams of Texarkana; five sisters, Ruby Mays of Columbus, Ohio, Viola Price and Minnie McAdoo of Los Angeles, Beaulah Walker of Sacramento and Lurinza Bean of Richmond, Calif.; ...
