ASHDOWN, Ark.—Michael Eugene O’Rear, 51, of Texarkana, Texas, died Wednesday, May 7, 2008, in Little Rock.

Mr. O’Rear was born Nov. 26, 1956, in Long Beach, Calif. He was retired from Verizon, Dallas, formerly employed with General Telephone Co., and ALLTEL Communications and a member of Moores Lane Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Donna Sellers O’Rear of Texarkana; one son, Jonathan O’Rear of Texarkana; one daughter, Shannon O’Rear of Texarkana; his parents, Robert “Bob” and Diane O’Rear of Seal Beach, Calif.; one sister and two brothers-in-law, Cheryl and Dale Green of Branson, Mo., and Brian Sellers of Little Rock; one niece, Julie Wilheim of Arkadelphia, Ark.; one nephew, Jeremy Jones of Arkadelphia; and a number of other relatives.

Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Ashdown Cemetery with the Rev. Martin Jones officiating. Burial will be under direction of Madden Funeral Service.

Visitation will be 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
