Melvina Ann Morehead, 58, of Texarkana, Texas, died Thursday, May 8, 2008, in a local hospital.

Mrs. More-head was born Dec. 20, 1949, in Fulton, Ark. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, Richard Morehead of Texarkana; two sons, Richard Morehead Jr. of Texarkana and Billy D. Morehead of Stuttgart, Ark.; seven daughters, Sandra Longan, Cathy Henderson, Richanna Tackett and Karen Paroline Morehead of Texarkana, RoseAnna Barker of Gonzales, La., Jody Henderson of Porterville, Calif., and Stephanie Haywood of Florida; one brother; three sisters; 29 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 3:30 p.m. today at East Memorial Gardens with the Rev. William Garner officiating. Burial will be under direction of East Funeral Home, downtown.
