HUGHES SPRINGS, Texas—Juanita Hammock Beaver, 89, of Texarkana, Texas, died Monday, May 12, 2008, in a Daingerfield, Texas nursing home.

Mrs. Beaver was born April 5, 1919, in Cass County, Texas. She was a Methodist. She was preceded in death by her husband, Conway Beaver, in 1995; and one grandson, Chris Beaver.

Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law, Jimmy Lewis and Martha Beaver of Belton, Texas, and Michael Lynn Beaver of Texarkana; one daughter and son-in-law, La Juan and J.W. Henson of Hughes Springs; one brother, J.L. Hammock of Longview, Texas; one sister, Mary Stateson of San Antonio; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Laws Chapel Cemetery, Atlanta, Texas, with Larry Neeley officiating. Burial will be under direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home. In case of rain, services will be 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Reeder-Davis-Schindler Funeral Home, Linden, Texas.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
