DE QUEEN, Ark.—L.P. Elliott Jr., 80, of De Queen died Monday, May 12, 2008, in Little Rock.

Mr. Elliott was born Oct. 2, 1927, in Broken Bow, Okla. He was retired from the Air Force, a member of SAU Board of Trustees, Lions Club, Salvation Army, Quorum Court and First United Methodist Church, De Queen, and a Korean War and Vietnam War Navy veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sara Jo Mills Elliott; one son, Roger Elliott; and one daughter, Barbara Ann Elliott.

Survivors include his wife, Dee Ann Smith Elliott of De Queen; four children, Kerry Harrison of Hot Springs, Ark., Greg Elliott of Little Rock, Donna Cameron of Texarkana and Julia Elliott of De Queen; five stepchildren, Preston Smith, Justin Smith and Linda Roden of De Queen, Dalynne Randolph of Hatfield, Ark., and Sherie Mabry of Bartlett, Tenn.; three brothers, R.B. Elliott of Bossier City, La., Donald Elliott of California and Lloyd Elliott of Horatio, Ark.; four grandchildren; 12 stepgrandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Wilkerson Funeral Home with the Rev. David Williams officiating. Burial will be in Redmen Cemetery.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
