WOODIE McINVALE SR.
Woodie B. McInvale Sr., 95, of Hooks, Texas, died Tuesday, May 13, 2008, in a local nursing home.
Mr. McInvale was born Oct. 11, 1912, in Anniston, Ala. He was retired from Red River Army Depot, former member of Texarkana Boat and Racing Club, and a member of Victory City Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Laura McInvale; six grandchildren, Jimmy Alford, Doug Hayes, Mike Alford, Shelia Walls, Lori McInvale and Ricky McInvale; and two great-grandchildren; Joshua Pate and Dylan Pate. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Faye and Bobby Harrington of Grand Prairie, Texas; two sons and two daughters-in-law, Woodie Jr. and Sally McInvale of Texarkana, Texas, Julius and Shelia McInvale of Leary, Texas; one stepdaughter and stepson-in-law, Evelyn and Teddy Hayes of Longview, Texas; one brother, Julius McInvale of Richmond, Texas; eleven grandchildren; thirty-two great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Chapelwood Funeral Home with the Revs. Harold Churchill and Roy Ford officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Pantry Fund at Victory Baptist Church, PO Box 1342, Hooks, Texas, 75561.
